Bangladesh chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said they considered Mahmudullah Riyad in the Sri Lanka-bound squad after getting positive report from the physio.
His comment came at the wake of the doubt that the senior batsman playing the ODI series against Sri Lanka hiding his injury.
Mahmudullah has been injured for quite sometimes now and it is assumed he played the whole World Cup through injury.

He sustained a shoulder injury during Bangladesh’s tour in New Zealand, an injury which barred him from bowling.
He didn’t bowl in World Cup. However after returning to country from World Cup, it is believed he would take rest to get rid of the injury fully.
But Mahmudullah was included in the team and that’s for insistence of the phsyio and to some extent to fill the void of Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das who took leave for personal affairs.
But his performance in the first ODI against Sri Lanka was horrible. He missed a catch, put shoddy fielding effort and scored just 3 runs. In second match too he scored just 6. Overall he looked not fit adequately.
“We selected the team based on the report of physio,” said Nannu. “If we get negative something, we don’t select any player. Same thing is applied in the case of Mahmudullah. But now if he is injured again, it is up to the physio.”
