England brought wholesale changes to their white-ball cricket method since the devastating loss to Bangladesh in 2015 World Cup, which led their early exit from the tournament. They changed wholly and their all out attack approach meant they emerged as the most destructive side the cricket world has ever seen.
But not only England changed their approach towards the ODI cricket, Bangladesh also changed dynamically after that epic World Cup journey at Down Under when they reached the quarterfinal stage for the first time.

Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said, since 2015 World Cup, they faced off every opposition with a mindset that they can beat them at any place in the world.
“Since 2015, when we took on any side, we kept belief that we would be able to beat them in any condition. We never though that we can be beaten,” Mashrafe said.
Mashrafe also revealed their plan as to how they would defuse the England’s attacking game. He said spin is his weapon with which he would like to attack England.
But at the same time, he disclosed that he is not entirely satisfied with the way they are bowling in the tournament.
“Overall we can’t bowl well as a group. Apart from Saifuddin, me and Mustafizur couldn’t bowl well. Mustafizur was the leader of the attack in the first match and South African players played pace well. That could be the reason. However since England also play pace well, we devised plan to attack them with spin.”
