Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has no hesitation to get down to the field against England as an underdog, despite already showing their prowess as world beater.
But that doesn’t mean that he would let England to take the leeway of their underdog status. Rather he believed, Bangladesh would beat England if they can play to their true potential.
“Everyone believes that England will win the trophy and they are the best team in this World Cup,” he said.

“It is not surprising to think that they are huge favourite but that doesn’t mean that we will feel us small team. I know if we can do our task properly, we will win this match even though we are going to play against the best team of the tournament. I don’t think we are small team and we can’t beat them.”
Mashrafe said what gives them the advantage that their first three matches is against those three sides who expertize in this condition.
Bangladesh won the first match against South Africa by 21 runs after posting their ODI highest 330 before losing to New Zealand by two wickets in a nervy game.
“There is no alternative to win the game in World Cup. Every match is important for us if we want to move into the semifinal. If we can win our last match, we could have been in advantageous position. But it is good that we are playing our first three matches against those sides who know this condition better than any other. It will put us in advantageous position in our next matches.”
