The Irish top order batsman Andy Balbirnie told the press that they know how to face the Bangladeshi bowlers as they have all the footage of them bowling.
"We have footage available of all the Bangladesh bowlers, which gives us an idea of what to expect.” He said.
He believes it will help them an idea of what to expect and what not. Shakib, Mashrafe and Miraz are in good from with the ball, so Ireland would try to play them according to their plan, and these video footages will certainly help them.
Although, Mustafizur Rahman, who is the main strength and mystery of Bangladesh’s bowling has conceded 93 and 84 runs in his last two ODIs. So he would like to change that today.
Balbarnie doesn’t want to overcomplicate things though, he just wants to maintain basics and get over the toughest period of batting. The first 20 bowls are the toughest he feels.
"I just like to focus in the nets on my strengths and particularly working on my first 20 balls and how best to combat the toughest period of batting. It's about not over-complicating things," Balbirnie quoted.
Andy Balbirnie is in good form recently. He has scored 405 runs in his last 10 matches with an average of 50.62. If he gets going today things can go south for Bangladesh.
Ireland performed dreadfully against West Indies as the two opener from West Indies scored a record breaking partnership of 365 runs and gave a target of 382 runs to the Irish.
In their reply Ireland managed to score only 181 runs. They would want to turn the cruise against Bangladesh today but it won’t be easy because Bangladesh is flying high after their resounding 8 wickets win against the windies.
However, Ireland can find relief that Bangladesh have lost their first practice match against Ireland wolves, a repeat of that sorts of performance from Bangladesh would certainly put Balbirnie’s Ireland on the driving seat.
