All the doubts about condition are put to bed

Bangladesh has proved their doubters wrong with Tuesday's eight wicket win against West Indies.  Before this match there were a lot question about Bangladesh’s ability to cope up with the condition, weather and temperature.

There were some reasons behind this too because Bangladesh’s record outside home is very disappointing. They recently struggled against New Zealand away from home, they lost all of their matches in that series.

So, people were concern about coping up with the extreme cold of Ireland and its effect on the game.  But Bangladesh’s batting coach Neil Mckenzie was always confident about Bangladesh; he was much more worried about playing surfaces and techniques rather than condition.

‘’The experienced guys know whatever it takes to play in different condition, I don’t think it’s the cold, its mainly the surfaces. Your line change, length change and also your scoring opportunities change. It’s not the weather it’s more the surface, the pitch condition and the various type of bowlers you will be facing.’’

Bangladesh’s captain Masrafe Mortaza was also indifferent about the weather of Ireland. He thinks blaming the weather is nothing but an excuse.

“I don’t think we can adjust with this cold right now, because the people who live here also struggle in this cold. Now,  we don’t have the time to adjust, we have to be strong mentally.  Blaming cold is nothing but an excuse; we don’t bother about that while playing.”

This convincing 8 wickets win against West Windies have shown us that how much Bangladesh have grown mentally and tactically, they have proven that they are not a side which only play well in their home condition.

They are the second most experienced side in this World Cup and they have the ability to deal with tough conditions. Before starting of this game West Indies were flying high because of their massive victory against Ireland and Bangladesh was down under because of the practice match loss. But they turn up the tide and beat West Indies pretty easily with the three half centuries from Tamim,Soumya and Shakib. Before the World Cup this performance is a confidence booster for both the fans and the team.
