Two of the Bangladesh pacers, Mustafizur Rahman and Rubel Hossain, did not join the training session on Monday (September 3) due to fever. As a result, both missed the match-scenario practice which was the highlight of the training session that resumed after a two-day break as part of the preparation for the Asia Cup. The six-nation tournament is scheduled to be held in the United Arab Emirates between September 15 and 28.
Mustafiz and Rubel are considered to be an integral part of the Tigers' bowling unit that is expected to be tested in the deserts of Abu Dhabi during the tournament that will kickstart with the game between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

“Both of them sustained fever so we decided to provide them rest,” said a team official. “But there is nothing serious about it and we are expecting them to be arriving soon.”
Despite playing two of the last three finals of the Asia Cup, Bangladesh failed to win their coveted trophy. They will once again vie to be the continental champions this time when they start their campaign in the UAE.
For now, Bangladesh will be focusing on advancing to the Super Four by being among the top two teams of their group which also has Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in it. The Tigers will leave Dhaka for the UAE on September 9.
Following their first clash against Sri Lanka on the opening day, the Tigers will face Afghanistan on September 20 in their last group match.
