Bangladesh fast-bowler Mustafizur Rahman said he did not perform at his best against West Indies in the recently-concluded series. According to him, he could have contributed more during that tour.
The cutter master bagged 13 wickets in the six limited-over games and was still left unsatisfied with such performance. Although he topped the wicket-taking charts in the T20Is, by taking eight scalps in three matches, Mustafizur leaked too many runs which affected his economy rate.

“I could not give my hundred percent while bowling in the West Indies. I would say, I have utilized 60 percent of my ability,” said Mustafizur.
“Pacers need rhythm [in their bowling]. I am okay now, but I can find a better rhythm. I still have the opportunity to improve in every area.”
Mustafizur still holds the record for the most wickets (13) in his debut ODI series. Although injuries have made his journey difficult so far, the pacer's recent statement is proof that he is determined to get back to his good old fine form. The Tigers, too, would love to once again have his match-winning contributions at their disposal in the upcoming Asia Cup.
Regarding his plans for the Asia Cup, Mustafizur said: “There is no such objective. But I’ll try to do well. Many people have expectations of me. I will try to fulfill that.”
