Nazmul Hasan Shanto has also been included in the squad. He will be eyeing to make it to the playing eleven unlike the ODI series in the Caribbean.

The uncertainties regarding Shakib Al Hasan’s participation in the Asia Cup have finally been removed as he will be fulfilling the deputy role.

Out-of-form Sabbir Rahman has been dropped after putting up a series of disappointing performances in his last few outings. Anamul Haque and Abu Jayed, who were also part of the ODI squad for the series against West Indies, haven’t found a place in the Asia Cup squad.

Despite showcasing a string of magnificent performances against the Ireland A, Mominul Haque has failed to seal his spot in the squad.
