Bangladesh all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain’s wife, Samiya Sharmin, has filed a complaint against him. According to Sharmin, she was subjected to physical and mental torture for dowry.

The couple got married when Mosaddek was playing age-group cricket. But after getting the opportunity to join the national team, he failed to cope with fame and allegedly tortured his wife.

Mosaddek reportedly sent the divorce papers to Samiya on 16 August. And on 26 August, his wife Samia filed a case against the 22-year-old.

According to Mosaddek, this is an attempt to harass him. He was left shocked by this incident.

He said, “As far as I know my wife and her family have lodged a complaint for dowry, against me.”

“Another thing is that in my current financial situation, there is no question of asking for dowry from the wife. I think this case has been filed to harass me.”

So far, a few Bangladesh cricketers have been involved in issues related to women is not less. The names of Sabbir Rahman, Nasir Hossain, Al Amin, Mohammad Shahid, Arafat Sunny have also been heard before. The name of Mosaddek Hossain has now been added to the list.
