‘I used to be afraid but not anymore’ – Bangladesh pacer

Rony celebrating with his team-mates

Bangladesh pacer Abu Hider Rony has stated that he is not afraid of any batsman anymore. The pacer had a decent outing in the Caribbean as he took a wicket in the two T20I matches that he played and had an economy rate of an impressive 7.5.
As a result, Hider, who is yet to establish himself as an undisputed starter for the Tigers after bursting onto the scene with a 21-wicket campaign in the Bangladesh Premier League in 2016, claims that his tour to West Indies was a memorable one.
‘For me, this [West Indies] series will always be very memorable. There were a lot of things to learn. I have learned a lot in the last two years despite playing just 10 matches.’
He then added that he doesn’t fear anyone anymore as he believes that he has the ability to get a batsman out after being smashed all over the park.

‘Most importantly, I am not afraid of any batsmen or team.
‘There used to be a bit of fear about being hammered for boundaries but now I feel like even if I do get smashed, I have the ability to stand up and come back, get the batsman out.
‘I think this is my biggest achievement at the moment.’
Abu Hider Rony has played in 10 T20I games for his country but has taken only five wickets in his career thus far.
