Situation in Dhaka creating hindrance to Bangladesh's preparation

Bangladesh women’s national cricket team have enjoyed a successful journey lately. By winning the Women’s T20 Asia Cup and qualifying for the Women’s World T20 the team have slowly become a force to reckon with.
Bangladesh women are currently preparing for the upcoming global T20I event, scheduled to be held in November, with a two-month-long training camp. According to their team manager Nazmul Abedin, this camp will instill aggressive nature among the players.
The training camp was supposed to be held in Chittagong, but the team is stranded in Dhaka due to the current situation in the capital city, as a recent road-accident resulted in students taking it to the street, demanding safe roads.

Regarding the camp, Tigress bowler Rumana Ahmed said: “We have done this [vast level training] in the past. We have had good coaches before. David Capel was a very good coach. Our local coaches were also good. Then, working with coaches like (Janak) Gamage Veera Singh has taken us to a place where we have enjoyed a lot of success. We are playing more games than before.
“We are working on endurance. After this, we’ll be working on strength. It’s been two days only [since we started training]. We had a running session today in the morning. The gym session will be held tomorrow. And fitness [training] are continuously taking place.”
“We were mentally prepared to go there [Chittagong] and adapt to the conditions. [We thought we would] get to use the whole ground. The HP [High Performance] and the Under-19 are already training here [Dhaka]; hence, we cannot use the entire ground. So, mentally, we are lagging behind. Because we cannot do anything properly here,” she added.
