De Villiers: I will keep on playing IPL

Ab de Villiers has opened up about his participation in the IPL for the first time since announcing his shock retirement from international cricket, in May this year. He is one of the top run-getters of the tournament totaling 3953 runs in 141 matches.
The former South Africa spent three seasons in Delhi Daredevils before getting picked by Royals Challengers Banglaore, the IPL franchise he plays for since 2011. He has smashed three hundreds and 28 half-centuries in the tournament.
“I will keep on playing IPL for a few years, and I would like to play for the Titans, and help some of the youngsters. But there are no set plans. I haven’t been able to say that for a long time,” he said.

The right-handed batsman had previously stated his desire to continue playing for domestic side, Titans. He was also keen to mentor the team's youngsters as well.
“I’m 34 years old now, and I’ve got this incredible privilege to see some of these youngsters come through, and to actually have an opportunity to have an impact on their careers.
“I’m pretty sure something will come up. Look, I’m not completely retired out of all cricket. Like I said, I’m still going to play for the Titans,” de Villiers had said.
