‘I made a mistake’ – Liton

While Mominul Haque made history by scoring a century in the
second innings of the Chittagong Test, Liton Das also played a brilliant innings
to support the elegant left-handed batsman. Das played a great innings to score
94 runs, but then played a very rash shot to get out with just 6 runs to reach
his maiden century.
When asked about his rash shot, he said: 'That time I thought, if I reach down the
wicket [I can] hit it... It was a mistake.’
He formed a great partnership with Mominul Haque and stated
that they had a lot of conversation in the middle and focused on the present
over than see too ahead. Finally, he also claimed that the pitch was a great
one to bat, with only roughs on the sides.

'Yes, definitely, when we and Mominul batted, we talked a
lot and played over to over.
'You see, in the middle of the pitch there were no cracks,
but on the sides there roughs.
Meanwhile, man of the match revealed his elation at scoring
two centuries in this Test.
‘Yeah, of course [I am happy], I played very good in both
innings and it was [a] very happy [thing] for everyone. I am so happy.
This was Mominul’s 5th century at Chittagong,
which is just one less from his career total of 6. When asked about whether he
feels at home in Chittagong, he said: ‘Yeah when you get runs from on one
place, you feel great. Yes I feel at home here’
About his partnership with Liton Das, he said: ‘We just took
session by session, hour by hour, the wicket wasn’t turning at that time. Liton
supported me a lot. Everyone played well.’
