Shakib Al Hasan back to rank 1 in 3 formats

Hallelujah! Things might not have been going good for the
all-rounder as he is now recovering from a painful finger injury. But as they
say, the best things often come after the worst. You see, it is the darkest
before the dawn.
After being praised by VVS Laxman as the best all-rounder in the world, Shakib Al Hasan has once again been recognized as the best. Indeed, according to the latest ODI and T20I rankings, Shakib Al Hasan is the ranked 1 all-rounder in both the formats.
Prior to this, Shakib was the top-ranked all-rounder in both Tests and T20Is, but was trailing Mohammad Hafeez in the 50-over format. However, he has now jumped over him to become the best in the ODIs as well.
There is some good news for Pakistan as well as Babar Azam
is the top ranked batsman in the T20Is. His form in New Zealand resulted into
him becoming the number 1. Indeed, with
109 runs from 3 games at an average of 54.5, he is now the best batsman in the
T20I arena.
He displaced Colin Munro as the number. The New Zealander is
now in 4th spot after a poor outing against Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Mitchell Santner is the new king in the bowling
department of the T20Is. He took 4 wickets in 3 games against Pakistan while
also bowling relatively economically. Behind him is Afghan pride, Rashid Khan,
who is just trailing by a point.
