‘Kohli should drop himself in the 3rd Test’

Virendar Sehwag is definitely not impressed with Kohli’s decision to bring in Ishant Sharma in place of Bhubaneshwar Kumar. The former Indian batsman also did not like the exclusion of Shikhar Dhawan from the playing XI. Parthiv Patel replaced Wriddhiman Saha as the latter is going through an injury.
“Watching Virat Kohli excluding Shikhar Dhawan for just one Test failure, and Bhuvneshwar for no reason at all, Kohli should drop himself in the third Test at Centurion, if he fails to perform in Centurion,” he said.

India lost the 1st Test of the 3-match series by 72 runs and Bhuvaneshwar took 6 wickets in that match. He also batted for a total of 127 balls – the most by any Indian batsman in that match.
Virendar Sehwag thinks Virat Kohli has hurt Bhuvaneshwar’s self-esteem. According to him, Ishant could have replaced anyone but Bhuvi.
Sehwag stated, “Excluding Bhuvneshwar wasn’t the right decision. Citing that Ishant might benefit with his height, Virat Kohli has hurt Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s self-confidence. They could have played Ishant in place of any other bowler. Bhuvneshwar performed well in Cape Town and excluding him like this isn’t justified.”
