Ahmed Shehzad returns to T20I squad

Ahmed Shehzad has returned to Pakistan's T20 squad after being dropped for the ODI squad against New Zealand. He has been named in the 15-man squad ahead of the 3-match T20I series against the Black Caps.
Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq said, "Imad Wasim was yet to recover from his knee injury and was told to continue his rehabilitation at the NCA. Mohammad Nawaz has been named to replace Imad Wasim. Sohaib Maqsood was not considered for selection due to a back injury, and will undergo rehabilitation at the NCA,"

The rest of the ODI squad remain the same apart from the inclusion of Umar Amin alongside Shehzad. Amin has played 4 Tests, 15 ODIs and 11 T20Is for the Green Army.
Although Amin has not been great while playing in the national side, he has been given a chance due to his fine batting display in Pakistan's last T20I against Sri Lanka. Shehzad had also played in the 2nd T20I in the same series that finally resulted in a whitewash for the Sri Lankans.
In the current ODI series against the Kiwi team, Pakistan have lost their first two matches already and another loss would mean a series defeat. The T20 series will start from 22nd January with the final T20I scheduled to take place on 28th instant.
