Rumana Ahmed set to depart for Australia tonight

Banglaldesh women's team captain Rumana Ahmed is set to participate in the Women's Big Bash T20 League this season. The third edition of the league saw Rumana and off-spinner Khadija Tul Kubra get selected by separate franchise. The tournament already began on 9th December, 2017.
Rumana will be playing for the Brisbane Heat while Kubra will perform for Melbourne Stars. As a part of the process of the contract, Big Bash Franchisees had sent their jersey for the players.

Rumana is scheduled to leave for Australia tonight to feature in the semi-professional women's T20 competition in Australia. Kubra is expected to fly for Australia on January 16.
Rumana expressed her desire to play in the BBL last year, “I dreamt of playing in this league. This is a big tournament for women cricketers. There are a lot of good cricketers there.”
“It's a huge opportunity for me to showcase the talent of the Bangladesh women's cricket team. I will try to give my best whenever I get the opportunity and I will try to perform my best,” Rumana told the Daily Star yesterday.
