BCB introduces new method to end betting

The last BPL tournament was a testament to how betting has been ruining the beautiful game of cricket. 72 bettors had been arrested by ACU from the ground during the last edition in 2017.
As there is no proper betting legislation, none of the arrestees was punished. The accused bettors were interrogated and then released. BCB have taken this issue seriously and are ready to bring such acts under law.
In the upcoming tri-nation series and the home series against Sri Lanka, there will be mobile court in the stadium in order to control the uncouth practice. In these two series, the bettors could be fined and imprisoned if found guilty.

The CEO of Bangladesh Cricket Board―Nizamuddin Chowdhury has confirmed this matter in a press conference on Sunday.
"We are taking some extra precaution [against preventing gambling and betting at venue] and had completed the required formalities regarding implementing it with concerned authorities.
"In the inter-ministerial co-ordination meeting for the upcoming international matches at home," he said.
"There is a plan of setting up mobile court in the venue by the government as it was decided that provision of implementing 'magistracy power' will be introduced during the series," he added.
