Jonny Bairstow is proud of England

England might have had to endure a very difficult day as the
Australian batsmen played almost perfectly to ensure their dominance on day 3,
but Jonny Bairstow is still proud of his team. While he admigs that it was a “tough
day,” he was impressed by the way his team worked on the field.
“It was a pretty tough day,” said Bairstow, whose stumping
completed Crane’s first wicket – that of Khawaja, after his
eight-and-a-half-hour innings.
“The way the guys toiled hard was impressive. It’s good to
see.”
Bairstow then went on to laud the efforts of England’s
spinners, Moeen Ali and Mason Crane, claiming that they were fantastic in their
approach. He also added that luck might not have been in their favour, but then
refrained to talk about it any further.

“We just needed a few more to go to hand really,” added the
wicketkeeper.
“When the ball is turning … you can get one that carries to
slip, a nick on to the thigh pad that goes to short-leg.
“You can break the ifs and buts down so many ways. We are
not a side that go about saying this and that – but it didn’t go our way.
“That’s not the nature of the people playing, we are very
proud.”
The last Ashes Test is almost certainly not going to go in England’s favour with a draw being the best result for the Three Lions at this point of time. Both the Marsh brothers are currently batting and will look to extend the lead to something insurmountable.
