Following the departure of Chandika Hathurusingha, the Tigers are going to play the tri-nation series and the Test & T20 home-series against Sri Lanka without a head coach. The senior players will have to take care of the team in order to achieve success in the upcoming contests.

Imrul Kayes has been a part of the Bangladesh cricket team since 2008. Recently he discussed a few things about the situation of the team in a presser and expressed his views on the team's condition and how they are doing under the new technical director. He has heaped praise on Mashrafe as well.

"Nothing new actually. We have been practicing here for a long time. Sujon is here, he is helping us a lot, We know him well and vice versa. Overall we are working on issues that require some progress," Imrul said.

The left-handed opined batsman reportedly said, "Sujon has been with the team for a long period of time. He treats everyone equally. Whatever the former coach had done was his concern. A person cannot be all good or evil. We should quit thinking about that and contemplate our work,"

"I have been learning from him since my days at the academy. In this scenario one can say that he has been a guide to us and we will try to use that to our advantage,"he added.

Imrul also revealed how Mashrafe and Shakib have helped the team. He said, "Mashrafe always motivates us by saying something encouraging. As a leader, he is the best. He helps us in every situation; good or bad.
