Khaled Mahmud is excited about his new role

BCB appointed Khaled Mahmud as technical director ahead of the tri-nation ODI series and bilateral series against Sri Lanka. In the absence of the head coach, Khaled Mahmud has taken a number of responsibilities in the 32-men training camp.
He talked about the importance of the bowling unit's batting in an interview recently. Apart from advising the seamers, he has been working on their batting as well.
He reportedly said, "The batsmen spend enough time in batting at the beginning of the skill-training. Pacers don't get to bat for that long.
The bowlers have to bat in every format of the game. It becomes necessary for the tail-ender to score 15-20 runs,"

"I was working on their batting. They will start bowling from 4th January. As they have finished playing first class recently, they are exhausted. I want to work on their basics of swing-bowling," he added.
He did not want to talk about the team-selection. He is currently working with the pace bowlers and discussed his working style.
"How is the team going to be like is not the concern right now. I am excited. Everybody has performed well," he said.
"I am working on the swing-bowling. What will be there seam position and other basic things. For now, their confidence is being built," he concluded.
He also commented on his new role. He sees this occasion as a chance to do something good.
"I am excited. This is definitely a good opportunity," he said.
