Ferguson limped off the field during PBKS' last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday after bowling just two deliveries.

Ferguson pulled up after delivering the second ball of the sixth over against SRH, clutching the area just below his left hip.
After being assessed by the physio, he left the field and did not return, as SRH went on to successfully chase down the second-highest target in IPL history with eight wickets to spare.

"Ferguson is out for an indefinite period, and I’d say the chances of him returning before the end of the tournament are very slim. It appears to be a fairly serious injury." Hopes said ahead of PBKS' upcoming clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Mullanpur on Tuesday.
The New Zealand pacer had only recently recovered from a hamstring injury he sustained during the ILT20 in the UAE, which had already ruled him out of the Champions Trophy in February.
In the current IPL season, Ferguson featured in four matches, picking up five wickets with an economy rate of 9.17.
