Russell and Narine have been regulars in the BPL, previously playing for Comilla Victorians. With Comilla absent this season, the West Indian duo will now don Rangpur’s colors. Both are currently playing for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the ILT20.

Their availability for Rangpur will depend on Abu Dhabi’s playoff qualification in the ILT20.

After retiring from international cricket, David Warner played 12 matches for Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League (BBL), scoring 405 runs, including one century and three half-centuries. Warner, currently contracted with Dubai Capitals, has also signed with Rangpur, but his arrival date remains uncertain. His participation in the BPL playoffs will depend on his team’s ILT20 standings.

Rangpur has also secured Australian power-hitter Tim David, who is currently part of Gulf Giants in the ILT20. Reports suggest that David could arrive in Bangladesh soon. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Asif Ali is also set to join the squad in the coming days, further strengthening Rangpur’s foreign contingent.

While Rangpur is adding firepower, they have lost one of their best performers of the season, Khushdil Shah. The Pakistan all-rounder has returned home as he remains in contention for Pakistan’s Champions Trophy squad.
