Speaking at a post-match press conference following Fortune Barishal's convincing 8-wicket victory over Dhaka Capitals at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Thursday, Tamim said, “I’m not in a position to comment on this right now.”
Tamim, who scored a brilliant 61-run knock to lead his team to victory and claim the Player of the Match award, emphasized that while he has retired from international cricket, he plans to continue playing domestic and franchise cricket.

“I will try to play as long as I can. Now that I have retired (from international cricket), I qualify for the Legends League. I’ll play those. If the Premier League is held on time, I’ll play that too. And if I stay fit, I’ll continue playing in the BPL,” Tamim said.
Under Tamim’s leadership, Fortune Barishal has climbed to second place in the points table with four wins. For now, Tamim remains focused on his role as a player and captain, leading his team from the front.
