Litton, Rishad and Nahid book PSL spot, Shakib and Mustafiz remain unpicked

Bangladesh’s leg-spinning all-rounder Rishad Hossain also found a team in the PSL. The two-time champions Lahore Qalandars selected him in the Silver category’s third round. Pacer Nahid Rana was picked by 2017 champions Peshawar Zalmi.

Over 30 Bangladeshi cricketers registered for the PSL draft. However, top-tier players like Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, listed in the Platinum category, remained unpicked after the draft.

Other Bangladeshi players, including Hasan Mahmud, Tanzim Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, and Towhid Hridoy, were placed in the Diamond category but could not secure teams.

Litton’s BPL form has been remarkable. He smashed an unbeaten 125 off 55 balls against Rajshahi yesterday, taking his tournament tally to 240 runs in six matches. Rishad, representing Fortune Barishal, has taken four wickets in three matches so far.
In Lahore, Rishad will team up with stars like Daryl Mitchell (New Zealand), Kusal Perera (Sri Lanka), Asif Ali, and Ahsan Afridi (Pakistan). The Qalandars have retained big names such as Shaheen Afridi and Fakhar Zaman.
Meanwhile, Litton will join Karachi Kings alongside former Australian opener David Warner, New Zealand pacer Adam Milne, batter Finn Allen, and Kyle Jamieson. The Kings have also retained Tim Seifert (New Zealand) and Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood.
