Soumya Sarkar raises fury in DPL

Soumya Sarkar might have been overlooked by the national
team for the tri-nation and the Test series, but that hasn’t stopped him from
causing a storm in a Dhaka Premier League match against Gazi Group cricketers.
However, it wasn’t his bat, but the ball with which he
caused problems for the opponents. Coming to ball in the middle overs, Sarkar
picked up two scalps to dismantle the middle order of Gazi Group. He was also
helped by Shahbaj Chouhan as the latter took three wickets himself.
Meanwhile, Khan Abdur Razzak also got two wickets while
Al Amin Hossain picked two scalps to inflict damage on Gazi Group. Indeed, their great bowling bundled up the Gazi Group team for 176.

While this might be a great performance from Soumya Sarkar,
it is his batting that he should be concerned about. After all, the opening
slot of the Bangladesh cricket team still seems vacant with Tamim Iqbal not yet
finding a suitable partner.
And bowling well might not help him get back that spot.
