England Women team have named a 24-player squad for their training camp ahead of the trilateral series involving India and South Africa in September.

The English women team will start their training session from June 22 following the ICC guidelines. The players will go through with the same precautions as the Men team have implemented, with the training taking place in 'bio-secure' environments.

A total of six venues will be used for the first wave of training sessions. The venues are National Performance Centre in Loughborough, Emerald Headingley, The Kia Oval, the County Ground in Bristol; Chester Boughton Hall in Lancashire, and the 1st Central County Ground, Hove.

The 24 selected players will initially train individually before the sessions progress to small-group training.

England Women’s cricket director Jonathan Finch said that they are hopeful to play cricket before the end of the season and excited to see the players returning to training.

“We remain hopeful of playing cricket this summer and it’s exciting for this group of players to be able to return to training,” Jonathan Finch said.

“We’ve had great support from the first-Class counties with the use of their venues, and we’re grateful to them for that, and hopefully this is one step closer towards England Women returning to the field this summer,” Finch added.
