De Villiers returns to cricket with three-team experimental format

Former South Africa captain and its star batsman AB de Villiers will be seen in South African cricket yet again as he is scheduled to make a comeback with the new experimental format of three-team game after announcing his retirement in March 2018.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has prepared a new format of cricket to bring cricket back in South Africa on June 27 in the shape of a newly devised format involving three teams playing a single match.
AB De Villiers is set to captain one of the teams named AB Eagles. Teams of eight players each will compete against each other in a game of 36 overs split into halves. Each team will bat for 12 overs, facing six from each of their opponents’ attacks. Bowlers will be allotted three overs each.

De Villiers is looking forward to playing the new format of the game as he said via an online press conference.
“As players we don’t know what to expect, but that makes it really exciting,” said AB De Villiers, who is known well as a batsman of breathtaking chutzpah and enterprise in South Africa and cricketing world as well.
“As a youngster, I always dreamt of being that last man standing and winning the game for your team,” Villiers said of the innovation,” Villiers said of the innovation.
