Bangladesh pace bowling all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin said that South Africa batsman David Miller made him stronger more than the past after the series against the Proteas in their backyard.

David Miller hit the fastest Twenty20 international century against Bangladesh in just 35 deliveries on October 29, 2017, where Bangladesh lost the two-match T20I series by 2-0 margin.

Saifuddin alone gave 52 runs in his four-over spell, where the right-handed pacer bowled well in his first three overs, giving away 18 runs to claim the two key wickets of Hashim Amla (85) and AB de Villiers (20).

But his fourth and final over was too much expensive as Miller hit him for five massive sixes and created history by reaching a new T20I milestone of quick 100 in just 35 bowls.

In a Facebook live session with Cricfrenzy.com Saifuddin said that in that match when he got the two giant wickets of Amla and de Villiers he thought that he had enough for that day which was a bad move for him and thus he gets the punishment in his last spell by Miller.

“I want to start a little early, when I bowl the first three overs I gave18 runs and get the wickets of two world-class batsmen: AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla. Then a satisfaction came into me that I had taken the wicket of two legends. So I have nothing left to get today. Which was a lesson to me that never let go of yourself or let go of your focus until the last ball of the innings,” Mohammad Saifuddin said.

The right-handed pacer said that it’s not like he bowled bad as he gave the exact same delivery to Miller which he gave in the previous match, where Miller was unable to hit him. But he thinks he got that lesson from Miller very strongly.

“It’s not that my deliveries were bad. All my deliveries were good even in the first T20, Miller wasn’t able to hit a single boundary with those same deliveries. But he hit on that match, where the deliveries were the same, the length and the pace were all the same, I think. But the day was his. Even then I tried to give my best delivery. Maybe it didn’t happen on that day but it will in future,” he added.
