Bangladesh Cricket Board decided to change the venue of the three one-day internationals against Zimbabwe, said BCB officials on Sunday.
As per the itinerary of Zimbabwe’s tour of Bangladesh 2020, the Test match and the T20Is are given to Dhaka while the ODIs are to be played in Chattogram.

BCB officials said that the venue of the ODIs is going to be shifted from Chattogram to Sylhet to host the three ODIs on March 1, 3 and 6 in order to give more international exposure.
“There’s no specific reason behind this change. Chattogram hosts international matches regularly. It also gets more BPL matches. But Sylhet gets comparatively less matches. The board wants to increase the number of matches in this venue, as it is one of the most beautiful of the country. So we are taking the ODI matches to Sylhet from Chattogram,” said BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury on Sunday.
“Australia are coming soon. Then there will be matches in Chattogram as well.”
Zimbabwe are expected to arrive in Bangladesh on February 15. They will play a two-day practice match against the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI on February 18-19 before playing the solitary Test from February 22 to 26 in Dhaka. Then they will travel to Sylhet for the ODI series. Again the two T20Is will be held in Dhaka on March 9 and 11.
