‘This team can do anything’

Anamul Haque Bijoy has been a popular figure in Bangladesh's cricket since his days in the U19 team. He debuted against West Indies following his success in batting during the U19 World Cup in 2012.
The keeper-batsman also featured in the Tigers' World Cup squad in 2015 but returned due to an injury after playing against Scotland. The batsman did not get enough time in the national side after Chandika Hathurusingha took control of the team. He was asked if Hathurusingha's departure has been a relief.

"I have never thought that way. A person may dislike someone. You can't force it. Continuing to perform is important to me. That's why I had belief. There was no concern regarding the coach. People will come and go; but I will have to keep playing," said Bijoy.
He was also asked if there has been any changes in his techniques. The 25-year-old said, "I have tried a lot in these three years. I am endeavouring to do something new. If I can score big runs, give the team something; only then I'll understand what I am capable of,"
When asked about the changes in the team since his exit, Anamul said, "The seniors: Mahmudullah, Mushfiq, Shakib, Tamim and Mashrafe; all are outstanding. They have changed the Bangladesh team. Miraj and Mustafiz have joined[after Bijoy's departure]; Sabbir is there. I feel that this team can do anything."
