Being appointed as the technical director, Khaled Mahmud has been working in the 32-men training camp. Although some of the senior players are absent, he is busy with the players who have performed well in the recently concluded domestic league .

Mr. Mahmud talked about the bowling unit. He talked with the bowlers and discussed a few things.

"Everybody is important. Taskin, Rubel; their experience is also valuable. Most of the times, the batsmen win the match for this team.

We have achieved victory in some matches because of Mustafiz and Miraz's spells as well. There are few such spells. I have talked with them on this matter," he said in an interview lately.

The former Bangladeshi player is expecting something effective following the inclusion of some new faces.

"The newcomers always bring excitement along with them. That is a matter of fact as well. In my opinion, those who perform will always get a chance," he said.

"Although it is not the right time to say this, but a lot of youngsters have been called. There must be something positive. Again, we should not forget the experienced players as well," he added.

The 46-year-old opined about the team's failure at overseas and the pacers' involvement in that.

He said, "they couldn't make it overseas. If we think about the Champions Trophy, Rubel had a great spell. It is not like there are no good spells. There are. But a very few of them.

Pacers could not meet up to what was expected from them. We have worked less on accuracy and swing. I want to work on that,"
