Ranngpur retain their leader


Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, the ODI captain of the Tigers had a grand
Bangladesh Premier League campaign this year as his team clinched the trophy
defeating the Dhaka Dynamites.
Being the leader of Rangpur Riders in the league, he led his
men to glory. As a result, the team have retained him for the next year’s
league as well. He is the second player to be retained by the side after Chris
Gayle.
Rangpur, despite being the fourth team in the group round,
became the champions winning three back to back important matches including the
final. Mashrafe lifted the BPL trophy for the fourth time among the five
tournaments the league has seen since its inception.

Mashrafe Mortaza has proved his worth whenever the team
needed him. He has been a true leader to the national side as well. Coming back
every time facing crucial surgeries, his presence on the field itself has
worked as an inspiration for his teammates.
The man’s presence will surely cheer up his BPL side as well
from next year on. The owners of Rangpur have undoubtedly taken the right
decision to have reserved him for the next campaign as well.
