Sylhet Thunder off-spinner Nayeem Hasan sidestepped the Krishmar Santokie ‘no-ball’ issue, stating that the is not aware of the fact.
Santokie ‘no-ball’ issue is now talk of the town after Sylhet team director Tanjil Chowdhury himself smelled something fishy in his big overstepped ‘no-ball’ during the match against Chattogram Challengers on the opening day of Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL).
Along with Santokie, Tanjil, also the BCB director pointed his finger to Sohag Gazi.

In Sylhet’s second match against Rajshahi Royals, which they lost by eight wickets, Santokie though found the place, Sohag Gazi was dropped. Nayeem Hasan who didn’t play the first match, seemed to be the replacement of Gazi.
However amid the debate, Nayeem faced the obvious question when he came to press conference after his side’s defeat.
But the youngster technically avoided the issue, saying that he is not aware of the incident.
“I know nothing about the issue. [The team management] didn’t talk about it with us. I don’t know anything,” he said.
But he said when a team is in perpetual defeat circle, the negative talk naturally comes.
“Actually we need to win a match. When you will be in defeat circle, the negative talk will there to haunt you.”
“If we can win a match, we know, we can make a good turnaround and that’s what we need,” he added.
