Hope we’ll get some players for World T20 through BBPL: Mushfiqur

This year’s special edition of BPL, namely Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier Legau (BBPL) to celebrate the birth centenary of the Father of the National Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is seen as the platform of building a squad for the World T20 t be played in Australia next year.
Bangladesh senior batsman Mushfiqur Rahim expected that they would get some more players to create more options for every position.
“There is still 11 months left for the World T20 in Australia. Beforehand we have many matches to play. That’s why for the time being, the focus firmly will be on this tournament,” he remarked.
“World Cup is a big stage. As I said earlier, this BPL is a good platform for the young players. We will hope that like every year, we will get some players from this stage and we expected them to be used to the pressure of biggest stage.”
Mushfiqur Rahim rated Dhaka Platoon and Rajshahi Royals as the strong team on paper but at the same time said that every team has the equal chance to do well.
“On paper Rajshahi Royals and Dhaka Platoon are the two teams who looked strong. But other teams are also strong and every team will have the same opportunity, according to me,” he remarked.
The former Bangladesh captain doesn’t believe that the foreign players will single-handedly win the match for the team.
He revealed that apart from Chris Gayle, no foreign player as of now showed their capability to win the game all by alone.
“If you look at the history of BPL, you won’t find any foreign player apart from Chris Gayle to win a match for his side single-handedly. So we will try to play as a unit.”
