For the third consecutive day, the wet outfield and sporadic rain washed out the NCL Tier-2 game between Barishal Division and Dhaka Metropolis at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra.

However, the weather permitted another Tier-2 game between Sylhet and Chattogram after two washed-out days at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi. As the game started, Chattogram pacer Irfan Hossain and batsman Pinak Ghosh hogged the limelight.

Irfan claimed his first-class career-best 6-57 as Sylhet was wrapped up for 163 in its first innings. Irfan’s six-for was complemented by Hasan Mahmud’s 3-49.

 Chattogram ended the day on 191-6, taking a lead of 28 runs, thanks to Pinak Ghosh who struck exact 100 off just 83 balls, smashing 16 fours and two sixes.

Despite those two youngsters' superb shows, the match looked going towards a certain draw.
