New Zealand will feel the heat of expectation- Soumya

Bangladesh opener Soumya Sarkar said on Tuesday that they are ready to take on the Kiwis leaving behind the memory of their disappointing tour of New Zealand.
“When we played them [ for the last time] it was at their own back yard but it is different now. It is always difficult to play in other venues,’’ Soumya told reporters on Tuesday.
‘’There can be some similarity in the weather [for the New Zealander] but no one can say that it is their home ground. At the end of the day it’s a big tournament and there is always pressure playing in such big tournaments,’’ he said.
New Zealand cleanly swept them away at their own den in the three-match ODI’s series in last February and not once did the visitors managed to put up any fight against them during the entire series that ended abruptly due to the unexpected attack in the Mosque at Christchurch.
Bangladesh made a huge transformation as far putting up their act in the field is concerned that helped them to earn their maiden multi-nation trophy and Tigers looked to be carrying the confidence of their Ireland success in the ongoing World Cup as well.
Bangladesh put up a clinical performance to beat South Africa by 21 runs and according to Soumya they are ready to take on the New Zealanders in the global cricket extravaganza, though he believes the pressure will be on the Kiwis.
‘’If anyone say that New Zealand is a big team only implies that the pressure will be bigger on them as the expectations will be bigger from them,’’ said.
