The maverick bowling of Mustafizur Rahman ahead of this World Cup has raised some eyebrows. But the vice-captain of Bangladesh team Shakib Al Hasan is totally unfazed by this. He has defended Mustafiz on that regards.

He was totally off in the last one day internationals against New Zealand. He bowled his most expensive bowling in that match. He gave 93 runs in his quota of 10 overs, although he got two wickets.  

He has continued this type of costly bowling even in tri nation series against West Indies. He has given 84 runs in his 10 overs and took two wickets; it was his second most expensive bowling.

Mustafiz’s abysmal bowling has obviously made everyone worried. But Shakib has approached this issue differently. He thinks this can happen regarding the bowling position of Mustafiz.

“we shouldn’t only contemplate on his run leaking we must also consider his bowling position. He is bowling in the death overs and anyone can concede 30-40 runs at the death. “ Shakib said.
