Soumya saves the match for Khulna

||Desk Report||
Despite finishing the first innings on a low-score and conceding 552 runs against Rajshahi Division in that very innings, Khulna Division saved the game thanks to the twin centuries by Tushar Imran. Anamul Haque and Soumya Sarkar also belted a century each in the second innings to avoid a negative outcome for Khulna in their Tier 1 clash in the National Cricket League.
Khulna did not let the opponents tighten their grip on the match, despite losing two early wickets in their second innings on the previous day, as Anamul and Tushar shared a brilliant 250-run partnership.
Following Anamul’s dismissal for 113 runs, Sylhet again suffered a mini-collapse as they quickly lost the wickets of Tushar (159) and Mehedi Hasan (29). However, Soumya brought them back in the game by stitching together a 77-run stand with Nurul Hasan and after Nurul’s exit for 40 runs, he went on to pick up his hundred and remained unbeaten on 103 at the end of the match.

Khulna’s Afif Hossain ended the match as the highest wicket-taker to 7 wickets to his name.
Tushar was awarded the Man of the Match for his pride-salvaging knocks across both innings.
