Dhaka Metro crush Sylhet in their opening NCL clash

||Desk Report||
Dhaka Metro registered an innings win over Sylhet Division as the latter lost their remaining six wickets in just 21 runs on the fourth and final day of their Tier 2 clash in the National Cricket League.
Sylhet fell 41 runs short of Dhaka’s 426-run total from the first innings, despite batting for two innings.
Rajin Saleh and Zakir Hasan had nearly steered their side out of danger by stitching together a 122-run stand but the Sylhet-based team’s lower middle-order and the tailenders failed to carry that momentum and saw them losing in their own backyard. Zakir scored 72 runs and Saleh made 60, before Sylhet suffered the final collapse.
Resuming their innings from 149/4, Sylhet were all-out for 170 runs as Asif Hossain and Arafat Sunny ripped apart their batting lineup in the second innings.

Sunny took his tally of wickets to three in the second innings and seven in this match, while Asif claimed a fifer to finish the game. Shahidul Islam, who removed the openers on the previous day, did not get any wicket today.
Shadman Islam was declared the Man of the Match for his 157-run innings, which helped Dhaka post a big total and enforce a follow-on against Sylhet after bundling them out for 215 runs in the first innings.
