Sylhet fail to turn things around against Dhaka Metro

||Desk Report||
Sylhet Division could show no signs of promise in their National Cricket League clash against Dhaka Metro as the latter enforced a follow-on against them on the third day of their Tier 2 clash.
If it was not for a fine 91-run knock from Enamul Haque Jnr, Sylhet had no chance of taking their score past 200 runs in the first innings. Resuming their innings at 132/6 on day-3, Shahnur Rahman got dismissed without adding a single run to his score of 34 runs from the previous day.
Enamul kept the score ticking at one end while Abu Jayed (15) and Khaled Ahmed (0) fell cheaply at the other end. Ebadat Hossain remained unbeaten on 12 runs when Enamul got out in the nervous-nineties.
A total of 215 runs were certainly not enough to avoid a follow-on for Sylhet and coming on to bat in the second innings, their top-order collapsed, adding only 14 runs to the scoreboard. A fourth-wicket stand of 122 runs, however, offered some respite to them, before Asif Hussain broke the partnership by removing Jakir Hasan on 72 runs.

Rajin Saleh remained unbeaten on 53 runs as Sylhet posted 149 runs for the loss of four wickets in the second innings. He will resume the innings for the side on day-4 along with Alok Kapali.
Mohammad Shahidul, who took one scalp earlier on day-3 in the first innings, picked up another wicket in the second. Arafat Sunny also got a wicket to his name in the second innings, but Qazi Anik was the pick of the Dhaka Metro bowlers on day-3 as he took three wickets in the previous innings.
Sylhet are now trailing by 62 runs and they have six wickets to reach a good total to remain in the fray on the fourth and final day of the game.
