Ashraful's all-round show helps Dhaka Metro on day-2

||Desk Report||
Dhaka Metropolis could add only 96 runs to their previous total of 332 runs as their tailenders could not carry the momentum forward till of their end of the innings on day-2. Sylhet Division, on the other hand, suffered a batting collapse that saw them lose six wickets before they could score 100 runs.
However, an unbeaten 60-run stand between Shahanur Rahman and Enamul Haque Jnr, where both the batsmen have made 30-odd runs, has offered some respite to the Sylhet-based team in their opening clash in the National Cricket League, in Tier 2.
After resuming Dhaka Metro’s innings on the second day, Mehrab Hossain Jnr was the first batsman to return to the pavilion scoring 38 runs as Enamul got his second wicket in the innings. The bowler then wiped out the tail of the opponents and ended the innings with a six-wicket haul.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Ashraful picked up a half-century before getting out by Shahnur for 53 runs. Shahnur took a total of three wickets in the innings and Abu Jayed, who got them the breakthrough on the previous day, could not take further wickets.
Ashraful also shone with the ball as he bagged two wickets while Arafat Sunny scalped the other four wickets.
Sylhet are now trailing by 294 runs and their remaining batters will surely look to lessen the gap when they resume the innings on day-3.
