Starting the second day on 122/1, Rajshahi Division put up a brilliant batting display against Khulna Division, who were all-out for 210 runs on the previous day. Rajshahi have gained a mammoth 226-run lead over their opponents at the end of day-2 in their opening game in their Tier 1 clash in the National Cricket League.
Junaid Siddique resumed Rajshahi’s innings alongside opener Mizanur Rahman and was out at the very beginning for four runs. His departure was followed by an 89-run stand between Mizanur and Forhad Hossain where the former picked up his century before finally getting dismissed for 117 runs.
Forhad formed another important partnership with Jahurul Islam and got 83 runs to his name before returning to the pavilion. Sabbir Rahman and Farhad Reza then scored 33 and 25, respectively, before getting out and kept the score ticking while Forhad stood firm at the other end.

Forhad finished the day being unbeaten on 91 runs and will resume the third day’s play for Rajshahi along with teammate Sunzamul Islam who finished day-2 by remaining not out on 40 runs.
Afif Hossain took two scalps on day-2 to take his tally of wickets in this innings to three. Al-Amin Hossain, Khan Abdur Razzak, and Nahidul Islam also got one wicket each, but that was not enough to bring their team back in the game.
