“There will be one foreign umpire for each of the matches,” BPL member secretary Ismail Haider Mallick confirmed.
He also announced that the players’ draft of BPL, the country's lone franchise-based T20 tournament, will take place on October 25.

“Player draft will be held on 25th October,” said Mallick.
“Each team can retain up to four players. The name of the [retained] players must be submitted by the clubs within September.
“Each team can take two players from outside the draft. Everyone else will have to be signed from the draft. The foreigners who have played BPL last time have to be drafted this year,” he added.
The announcement came as BPL governing council took some decisions regarding their next tournament after having a meeting with the franchises at the BCB headquarters in Mirpur.
BPL was initially slated to be held in October but now it will start on January 5 as the general election of the country is supposed to get underway in December.
Ismail said that they have decided to allow every teams to include two foreign players who are yet to be registered, as there will be lot of competition for having good players in the team as other T20 tournaments will run parallel to the BPL at that time.
“The franchises can take two players from those who were not in the draft last time.
“There are many good quality players. Since there will be the national election this year, our date of play has been pushed back to January [next year].
“The other leagues will start at that time. As a result, it has been decided to take two unregistered players for each team to fill the amount of players required,” said Mallick.
