Brampton Wolves broke the winning streak of Bangla Tigers Mississauga, registering an eight wicket win against Shakib al Hasan led side on Saturday in the ongoing Global T20 Canada.
David Warner smased an unbeaten 44 in 33 as Brampton chase down the meagre target of 80 runs, aided by Beau Webster's 23 which secured a commanding win for Brampton.
Chasing the target Brampton lost their opener Kobe Herft for naught, that's when Warner stood firm and took the team to the port of the victory. Jack Jarvis also contributed 11 runs in the middle.
For Bangla Tigers David Wiese and Ali Khan each took a wicket.
Ealier, Bangla Tigers were bowled out for 79 runs after being invited to bat first. Andrew Tye and Thomas Draca shared six wickets together, each taking three apiece.
Ifthikhar Ahmed managed to scored the highest 19 runs, and Wiese 10 and Shoriful Islam 12, were the exception to cross double digits.
Shakib was trapped into an LBW by Tye and got dismissed for just 4 runs, the skipper did not appear to bowl.
