Tanzim believes ‘good captain’ Shanto will bounce back as batter

Despite a rough patch with the bat, there is no doubt among Bangladesh team members about Najmul Hossain Shanto's hard work. According to Tigers' pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Shanto is one of the hardest-working cricketers in the Bangladesh team. He is optimistic that the captain will soon return to scoring runs.

In their final group game, Bangladesh to face Nepal, who almost shocked strong South Africa on Saturday, where they lost to the Proteas by only one run thriller.

Ahead of the possible Super eight games Tiger skipper needs to step up in that game and find some form with the bat.

"Shanto bhai is working very hard in practice to regain his form. He is an extremely dedicated and passionate individual, one of the hardest workers in our national team. He is making every effort to bounce back." Tanzim said in the pre-match conference.

Shanto's maturity as a captain has been proved for some time. Under his leadership the Tigers have drawn a T20 series in New Zealand. Despite losing a T20 series to Sri Lanka at home, they clinched the ODI series victory.

However, Shanto faced criticism after losing the series against the United States. Nonetheless, he showed a different side during the World Cup, nearly leading the team to the Super Eight.

Tanzim mentioned that Shanto takes good care of everyone, which is why he is well-liked by all.

"As a captain, he is very supportive. We all admire him. We really appreciate his leadership. He takes good care of everyone and manages everything well, both on and off the field. This is a very commendable quality of his." Tanzim added,
