Australia batter Tim David said they are working hard to face Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain but reminded that they are not hesitant to take on the challenge.

Australia are placed in a group with Bangladesh, India, and Afghanistan for the Super Eight, and they are concerned about facing a lot of spin.

Australia is particularly wary of Bangladesh's new legspinner Rishad, as they have not had much exposure to him. However, David said that they will not shy away from the challenge.

According to David, the 21-year-old spinner could pose a threat that they may find difficult to counter. Despite the lack of familiarity, David made sure that Australia would face him.

"I suppose that's the nature of the World Cup, isn't it? You play every team once. You might get a team twice if you play in the final, so you don't get to face a lot of lot of these guys; you don't get a big look at them. I don't think anyone in our team will have played against him [Rishad]. So we're going to take him on," said David.

West Indies and USA condition has mostly benefited the bowlers and Rishad has reciprocated the momentum by taking seven wickets at an average of 14.57 for the tournament.

Another precise performance could pose a challenge for the Australians, as they have only encountered one main leg-spinner (England's Adil Rashid) throughout the entire tournament.
