Former Tiger coach Stuart Law becomes USA head coach

The USA has officially announced the appointment of former Bangladesh head coach Stuart Law as their new head coach.
Law, renowned for his distinguished career spanning over 50 matches for Australia, including participation in the 1996 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup where Australia emerged as runners-up, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
While Law's playing career is notable, his coaching journey has truly defined his legacy. Following his retirement from international cricket in the early 2000s, Law embarked on a remarkable coaching career. He held significant positions as the head coach of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the early 2010s, followed by a stint with the West Indies in 2018.
“It is an exciting opportunity to join USA cricket at this time. USA is one of the strongest Associate nations in the sport, and I believe that we can mold a formidable squad going ahead,” Law said.
More recently, he demonstrated his coaching prowess with Afghanistan and the Bangladesh Under 19 team, showcasing his ability to nurture and develop talent on the international stage.
Taking on the role of head coach for the USA marks another milestone in Law's illustrious coaching career. With his vast experience and proven track record, Law is poised to lead the USA cricket team to new heights.
Law's tenure begins with immediate challenges, including the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh at home and the co-hosting of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup alongside the West Indies in June.
"The first task will be to prepare the team for the series against Bangladesh and then set our sights on our home World Cup, which will be huge” Law added.
