Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das has withdrawn from the upcoming 2026 Lanka Premier League (LPL) after failing to recover fully from injury, prompting Galle Gallants to look for a replacement.

The franchise is now in discussions with fellow Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan, who confirmed to Cricfrenzy that talks are ongoing, although no agreement has been finalized yet.

If negotiations progress smoothly, Galle could complete the signing in the coming days.

Litton had previously received a full-season No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and was left out of Bangladesh's T20I squad for the Zimbabwe tour to participate in the LPL. However, the injury has forced the right-hander to withdraw from the tournament.

The 2026 LPL is set to begin on July 17. While Litton will miss the tournament, several Bangladesh players have been cleared to participate, including Shakib Al Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Hasan Mahmud.
