BCB announces squad for U19 Asia Cup in UAE

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 14-member squad for the upcoming 50-over format U19 Asia Cup, which will take place in the United Arab Emirates.
Azizul Hakim Tamim has been named captain of the Bangladesh U19 team for the competition, which begins on November 29.
Bangladesh is placed in Group A, alongside Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Nepal. Group B comprises India, Afghanistan, the UAE, and Japan.
The young Tigers will begin their campaign on the opening day of the tournament against Afghanistan. They will face Nepal on December 1, followed by a clash against Sri Lanka on December 3.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, scheduled for December 6. The final will take place on December 8. All matches will be hosted in Dubai and Sharjah.
Bangladesh U19 has a strong legacy in the competition, having won the U19 World Cup in 2023 by defeating the UAE in the final.
